About Me
The beginnings of my interpreting career probably date back to my preschool years—at least according to my family. I attended a German-speaking kindergarten, and apparently even back then I was already “interpreting” for my grandmother (who spoke only Czech), relaying what the teacher was saying and vice versa.
Although I later attended school in the Czech Republic, German never ceased to be part of my life. I regularly traveled to Germany with my parents, and throughout my childhood I was particularly fond of fairy tales in German.
Later on, I added English to my linguistic repertoire. My command of the language was further strengthened by a year spent attending high school in the United States.
After graduating from grammar school, my academic journey continued at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, where I studied translation, interpreting, and general linguistics. As part of my studies, I spent two semesters in Germany at Leipzig University and five months on an internship at the Czech Centre in Vienna.
My university studies only reinforced my conviction that languages are my calling—something I want to devote myself to both professionally and in my free time.
I have been working as a freelance interpreter since 2019. I travel for assignments throughout the Czech Republic and Germany. In addition, I have also interpreted in Austria, Slovakia, France, and Finland.
